Two back-to-back cold fronts are expected to sweep across Florida this week and weekend, bringing with it near-freezing morning temperatures to parts of Orlando and Central Florida. Near the Florida-Georgia state line, there is a small chance of some snow flurries to form.

Saturday will be the warmest day of the stretch, with afternoon highs ranging from the low to mid-80s away from the beaches — temperatures more typical of April than January. For comparison, the average high of 84 degrees is not usually reached until mid-April.

The stretch of warm weather in Central Florida will continue today through most of the weekend. By Sunday, a cold front will arrive and bring cooler temperatures and a chance for rain.
