A 911 call came in at 6:45 a.m., and a VSO dispatcher immediately provided CPR instructions while Air One launched and located the boat. The man was transported to shore and then to the hospital. Officials say that despite everyone's efforts, the man did not survive.

A small-engine plane on its way from Fort Myers to the Bahamas crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near Boca Raton on Saturday morning. The pilot, who was the sole occupant on board, survived the crash without injuries and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, police said.

Fourteen horses have been removed from a Lake County property where authorities previously rescued 85 dogs, according to a horse rescue organization involved in the operation. Lauren Wheatley with DreamCatcher Horse Rescue gave FOX 35 a look at the recovery journey.

A coordinated emergency response unfolded early Sunday morning on Lake Woodruff after a 56-year-old fisherman from Astor suffered a medical emergency aboard a pontoon boat. The man was transported to shore and then to the hospital. Officials say that despite everyone's efforts, the man did not survive.

FULL PRESS CONFERENCE | Volusia Sheriff's Office deputies and flight paramedics detailed their response to a man suffering a medical emergency out on a pontoon in Lake Woodruff. They responded to a "CPR in progress," finding a woman "performing resuscitation efforts on her dying husband." First responders took over CPR and got the patient back to land, but he ultimately died, the sheriff's office reported.
