'Artemis' the Bald Eagle is the "bougiest" patient at local vet
She’s fierce, royal, and according to her caretakers, a total diva! Meet Artemis, the bald eagle capturing hearts after a literal "rocket-powered" discovery on the Space Coast. Staff at Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital found a growth plate injury in her left leg from when she was a fledgling, which has kept her grounded. Artemis is now being treated at the Tampa Bay Raptor and Rescue Sanctuary. Her recovery plan was designed by the Animal and Bird Medical Center of Palm Harbor, essentially the "Mayo Clinic for Birds."
