An Orange County man is celebrating a historic catch: the second-heaviest gator on record. The 13-foot, 3 ¼ inch behemoth weighed n at 920 pounds.

A Florida family witnessed an unwelcome trespasser in their home and called 911. Police arrived to find a snake seeking shelter under a dresser. Officers trapped the creature in a pan and saltine box before educating the scared homeowners on venomous vs. nonvenomous snakes.

A small dog at the center of Tuesday night’s bear attack is now recovering in the care of neighbors.

A dog was found alive after vanishing following a bear attack in Longwood neighborhood earlier this week, the Florida Fish and Wildlife confirmed Thursday morning. The dog's owner was taken to a hospital following the encounter with the bear. His condition was not immediately released, but officials said the man had a large head wound.

Neighbors in a Seminole County neighborhood said they stepped in to help a man and his dog after the two encountered a black bear earlier this week.
