At the event, DeSantis announced the results of the largest immigration operation in Florida history. Authorities said more than 1,100 undocumented immigrants, including several violent gang members, were arrested in the first-of-its-kind "Operation Tidal Wave." ICE officials said the operation will go down in history as the most single arrests made by a state in a single week that ICE has ever had. Authorities said the arrests were made possible through the activation of more than 250 local and state enforcement officials to assist ICE's federal partners.

President Donald Trump spoke on Wednesday afternoon at the White House, where he delivered remarks on the benefits and strengths of investing in America. The remarks came as new economic data showed the United States economy shrinking in the first three months of the president's term. During his remarks, Trump thanked CEOs of global companies for their monetary commitment to build and manufacture their product in the U.S., as well as announced five trillion dollars of committed investments and said he believes much more is to come.
