Garrett Wymer joined the FOX 35 News team in April 2024 as a digital journalist and reporter. He anchors livestreaming news content and breaking news coverage on the FOX Local app.

He came to Central Florida after nearly a decade in Central Kentucky. During his time at WKYT-TV in Lexington, Garrett worked in numerous roles, including as a multimedia journalist, news anchor and investigative reporter.

In 2022, he won a National Edward R. Murrow Award for a year-long reporting effort focused on health disparities in Appalachia.

Garrett graduated from the University of Kentucky, where he double majored in journalism and political science. He began his career as a multimedia journalist at WHSV-TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Garrett lives with his wife, Amy, and their two dogs, Walter and Oliver. He loves baseball, running, crossword puzzles, and the Florida sunshine.
