Amanda Ruiz joined FOX 35 Orlando in August 2025. She is thrilled to be part of the Good Day Orlando team.
Amanda has always felt a special connection to Orlando ever since her first visit at the age of 5 with her family. Now, she’s excited to call this city home!
A proud New York native and Penn State University graduate, Amanda previously spent nearly five years covering a wide range of stories at FOX 35’s sister station in Austin, Texas. There, she built meaningful relationships within the community. Her work earned her a nomination for "Local Journalist of the Year" in 2024.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cat, Marco! She also loves visiting theme parks, which makes living here a dream come true.
