Woman found dead inside home, man arrested

SANFORD FLA (WOFL-FOX) - Sanford police arrested a man overnight who they said led them to a home where a woman was found dead inside.

It happened around 11:50 p.m. Friday at 100 Sycamore Court in Sanford.

According to authorities, a man was seen walking away from the SUV he left parked on the railroad tracks near Country Club Road and Lake Mary Boulevard.  

Police said the man told them to, "check on his wife" at the home on Sycamore Ct.

Upon arrival, authorities found a woman dead inside. She has since been identified as 82-year-old Alice Watson.  

The husband of Alice Watson, Elu Mc Donald Watson, is a person of interest. He was transported to the hospital due to a medical condition.
