Woman forced out of car, run over on I-4

Florida Highway Patrol and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a driver ran over a woman on I-4 and left her there.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers, the woman was riding in a car with four people along I-4 east in Volusia County around 4:30 am when an argument broke out.

The FHP went on to say that the driver of the car pulled over and made the victim get out. When the victim tried to get back inside the car, troopers say the suspect sped off, running the victim over and leaving her there.

The victim was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center. FHP says that she’s seriously injured.

Volusia County deputies stopped the suspect near the county line between Volusia and Flagler counties. Deputies are currently questioning that driver.
