Woman critical after 4-vehicle crash in Port Orange, police say

A woman is seriously hurt following a multi-vehicle crash in Port Orange on Tuesday, according to police. 

What we know:

The crash happened around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Dunlawton Avenue and South Peninsula Drive, authorities said. 

At least four vehicles were involved in the crash. The woman, who was one of the drivers, was taken to Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach with life-threatening injuries. As of Wednesday morning, she is in critical condition. Her identity was not released as officers are working to notify next to kin.

The Port Orange Police Department is asking for any potential witnesses of the crash to come forward. If you have any information, you're asked to call Traffic Homicide Investigator, Officer Eddy at 386-506-5835.
