Winter Park robbery suspect that fled after crash to face judge Friday
WINTER PARK, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - A robbery suspect on the run for two weeks has been arrested by Winter Park Police and will go before a judge on Friday.
Andrake Deon Bryant Jr. was arrested Thursday after police say his DNA was found in a stolen truck.
According to police, Bryant used that truck to commit an armed robbery at a Winter Park the Park Free Chiropractic office on Orange Avenue on April 9th. After the robbery, police say Bryant sped off and hit a silver SUV carrying a teen and her mother. The two were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
With the help of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Felony Squad, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Biology Section, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), and the Orlando Police Department Latent Examinations Unit, detectives established probable cause that Andrake Deon Bryant Jr. committed multiple offenses during the armed robbery of the victim.
Defendant Andrake Deon Bryant Jr. was out on bond for felony charges from Seminole County at the time of the incident. Additionally, he was on felony probation out of Seminole County at the time.
Bryant remains at the Seminole County jail. He's set to make his first appearance at 2:00 p.m. Friday.
