Watch: Alligator living at Gatorland bellows during mating season

It’s mating season for gators in Florida, and the bellowing sounds of the reptiles can be heard in the wild – and in Gatorland.

Janneke Case is a photographer who was allowed into the Orlando theme park early Saturday morning before it opened to the public. One alligator in particular didn’t seem to notice the humans, as it bellowed to get the attention of a female partner.

“How to attract a girl…gator style!” wrote Case in a Facebook post.

She said she intended to capture photos of the birds inside Gatorland. The park allowed photographers to enter between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. The park opens to the public at 10 a.m.

“The gators start early after sunrise,” she told FOX 13, “and I was lucky enough to be there early.”
Gatorland calls itself the “Alligator Capital of the World.” It has been around since 1949 and efforts in educating the public about the Florida alligator.
