Ocala police say they evacuated a restaurant after an explosive device was found on property.

It happened at a Taco Bell on East Silver Springs Boulevard on Saturday.

Investigators say a caller called 911 saying that he found a hand grenade while magnet fishing in Ocklawaha, put it in his trunk and drove to the Taco Bell.

The bomb squad was called to the scene to ensure everyone's safety.

Police say the grenade was from World War II.

They say it was safely removed and disposed of properly.

The Taco Bell was reopened.
