SUV with 8 people from Georgia overturns in Florida

A rollover crash in Florida sent eight people from Georgia to the hospital. Six of those injured are children.

The crash happened Thursday afternoon in Jacksonville.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a GMC pickup truck made an improper lane change, then hit the Cadillac Escalade, and forcing it off the road.

The Escalade then crashed into a light pole, ejecting three of the passengers.

According to troopers, all eight of the people in that Escalade are from Marietta, including six children ranging in age from 8 to 14.

Right now, three of the children are listed in critical condition.

It is unclear if the 21-year-old driver of the pickup will be charged.
