ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Detectives from the Orlando Police Special Victims Unit went door-to-door, handing out flyers after a couple was carjacked and a woman sexually assaulted at the Summerfield Apartments.
It happened in front of the building where the couple lives. Detectives asked neighbors for answers. Krystal Woelfel got a knock on her door around 4 a.m. on Monday, shortly after cops say the crime happened.
“We weren't sure if we actually heard it, they didn't continue to knock. We thought maybe a cat knocked something over. When they knocked again at seven, they continuously knocked and said 'Orlando Police,' until we answered,” Woelfel said.
Woelfel said at the time that the cops didn't tell them much.
The suspects stole a white, 2011 Toyota Prius, with Florida plate: IG37AF.
On Monday, police released a composite sketch of one of the two suspects, along with a photo of the stolen car.
Police say one attacker drove off in the car and the other held the boyfriend at gunpoint while he sexually battered the woman. One of suspects wore a mask and the other had glasses. Neighbors are scared.
“Yeah, that's a little scary,” Woelfel said, “because nothing has ever happened here before. It's always been really quiet and nice.”
Police say the victims are cooperating with detectives. Anyone with information about this incident is aksed to call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
