Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office say a cab driver stopped at a gas station off of Silver Star Road. That's when he got into an argument with his customer and was shot.  That man survived the shooting and will be okay.

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday responded to the gas station, at 5206 Silver Star Road, in reference to an aggravated battery with a firearm.

"One gentleman was shot in the side of the head, but fortunately it seemed to ricochet off his head," says witness Mark Peycke.  "He was bleeding but seemed to be fine."

Peycke says he went over to check on  the cab driver.

"He has a semi-foreign language, maybe Haitian. He seemed to be fine but didn't know why the guy did it."

Investigators say there was an argument and the suspect refused to pay for his ride,  that's when bullets went flying.

"There was one gentleman running away from the car running  down the street and the other gentleman was getting out of the car trying to see what happened and where he went to," Peycke says.

Deputies say the 56-year-old victim will be ok.  The suspect is described as a black man, between 25 to 35 years old. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
