Security guard suspected of murdering 27-year-old woman gets no bond

Stephen Duxbury, 33, stood quietly next to his attorney as the judge decided to keep him behind bars on no bond.

Duxbury is accused of murdering Sasha Samsudean, 27, who was found dead in her Downtown Orlando apartment back on October 17.

The Port Orange man was arrested Friday in Volusia County.

Orlando Police detectives say Duxbury sexually assaulted then strangled Samsudean inside her apartment, the same building where he worked as a security guard.

Detectives say Duxbury tried to cover up the crime by pouring bleach on her body.

An arrest warrant reveals Duxbury told police he never entered Samsudean's apartment.

However, police found his thumbprint  on her bathroom toilet.

Duxbury faces a first-degree murder charge for the death of Samsudean.
