Search for missing model continues after boyfriend kills himself
LOS ANGELES, CA (FOX 11) - Friends of Adea Shabani tell FOX11's Gigi Graciette they have lost hope. They believe the aspiring actress is dead.
This comes after sources say her boyfriend, a person of interest in her disappearance, committed suicide.
Police can confirm that family and friends believe an aspiring 25-year-old actress is dead. Macedonia Adea Shabani was last seen on Friday, February 23rd near the 1700 block of Wilcox Avenue, between Hollywood Boulevard and Franklin Avenue, not far from her home.
The man she was romantically involved with, also an actor, is also dead. Police say he killed himself after a pursuit on the Riverside Freeway (91) that ended in Pomona Thursday night.
Shabani’s family has not been able to speak out publicly as police continued to investigate. Her family says she was going away with her boyfriend with luggage, as they were planning to spend some romantic days together.
Shabani was in Los Angeles for less than two years.

Police believe the boyfriend killed her somewhere between Hollywood and Sacramento, and that someone knows something about this case and are hoping that person comes forward.
The suspect who killed himself during the police pursuit apparently had a passenger in the car. He made a brief stop to let the passenger out of the car, then he continued the pursuit before stopping the allegedly stolen car and shooting himself in the head.
The search continues for her body. Anyone with more information regarding this case is urged to call the LAPD’s Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800.
