Sarasota deputies give 94-year-old ride home

SARASOTA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says that members of their Community Affairs Office were alerted to a special moment Thursday morning along Bahia Vista Street.

They say that they witnessed a Sarasota County Area Transit driver escorting an elderly woman across the four lane road. They immediately turned around and put on their flashers to protect the duo while they crossed the street. 

The sheriff's office says that the 94-year-old woman was upset and a bit confused, so members called deputies who arrived and packed her up to drive her home in the City of Sarasota.
