Road trip road rage

A Seminole County man was out of town for work and greeted with gunfire.

It was a road rage incident that happened in Tampa, but the victim who was shot at is from Altamonte Springs.

“Hey I have some guy in the Lincoln navigator just keeps at me,” said the victim on a 911 call.

This 911 call details the terrifying moment.

“He swerved off the road. He was just shooting at me.  I'm off right here on North Himes,” said the driver.

“What do you mean he was shooting at you?” asked the 911 dispatcher.

“He was waving a gun and he shot a gun. I heard him shoot it.”

Florida Highway Patrol says that “guy” was actually Destiny Harrison. They say she started shooting at a Duke Energy pickup truck on I-275 in a road rage incident Wednesday.

“He was following me for a minute and then he waved a gun and I'm like ok this guy's kind of crazy. So I kept going. I switched lanes. He kept following me.”

FHP says the Duke Energy driver sped up and swerved to get away as another shot was fired. Harrison then swerved too, losing control, coming to a stop at a median.

“I got off on North Himes and he swerved. He almost flipped over.”

When troopers responded, they say they found three guns in Harrison’s car along with drugs and alcohol. She’s now locked up facing several charges.

The Duke Energy driver told FOX 35 he was not hurt and is doing okay. He was back at work Thursday.
