Report: FSU RB Dalvin Cook to be charged for battery of woman
Florida State sophomore running back Dalvin Cook is under investigation for beating a 21-year-old woman and will be charged with misdemeanor battery, according to a report.
The state attorney's office will issue a warrant for Cook's arrest, according to ESPN. The 19-year-old is accused of punching the woman in the face several times during an argument outside of a Tallahassee bar on June 23.
State attorney Willie Meggs met with the alleged victim, who is not an FSU student, and a female witness on Friday, according to ESPN, and the accuser presented Meggs with photos of her injuries. "I found the woman to be very credible," Meggs said.
The alleged victim reportedly identified Cook in a photo lineup with Tallahassee Police Department investigators on July 1 and said she wanted to pursue criminal charges.
