Registered sex offender has two wives that want to press charges of bigamy against him

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office reports that they have arrested 49-year-old Paul Wayne Stout on Thursday morning for charges of bigamy. They say that Stout married a woman in Flagler County in June of 2013 while still legally married to a different woman from Indianapolis since 1996.

The sheriff's office says that the first wife alerted them of this after she discovered through Facebook that her husband married another woman and that she wished to pursue charges.

Deputies say that the investigation revealed that Stout and his first wife had separated in 2005, but never dissolved their marriage before Stout married his second wife. When detectives interviewed the second wife, she was unaware that Stout was still legally married. She told deputies that she also wanted to pursue charges against Stout for bigamy.

"This isn't a crime often committed today," said Sheriff Rick Staly. "This guy obviously has a silver tongue and betrayed two unsuspecting women. I hope this arrest gives some sense of relief to the betrayed wives."

The sheriff's office also said that Stout became a registered sexual offender in 2015 for possessing photographs, film, or other representation that knowingly includes sexual conduct by a child. He is serving court-ordered term of community monitoring supervised by the Florida Department of Corrections.

Stout is in custody at the Flager County Detention Facility with a $1,500 bond.
