Pope to deliver remarks on White House lawn Wednesday morning

Pope Francis has begun his United States visit and plans to deliver his opening remarks to the country Wednesday on the White House lawn.

He'll be meeting with President Barack Obama and with American bishops, many of whom have struggled to come to terms with Francis' new social justice-minded papacy.

U.S. Bishops have increasingly focused on high-profile fights over abortion, contraception and gay marriage.
