Polk County schools make safety changes, no backpacks allowed
POLK COUNTY, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Changes are coming to Polk County Schools in response to the Texas shooting.
Every school will have an armed officer this morning and and no backpacks will be allowed at all. Students cannot bring in anything that is larger than a purse.
Sheriff Grady Judd says that he'd rather be guilty of doing too much than too little.
There are only about three and a half schools day left of the school year in Polk County.
