Police still searching for driver behind deadly hit-and-run on S.R. 408
ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Orlando Police are still searching for the driver behind a deadly hit and run on State Road 408 (S.R. 408).
Just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, police say that a driver hit a pedestrian on S.R. 408 at the Crystal Lake Ramp and then took off.
As a result, traffic was backed up for miles. The road reopened around 10 p.m.
Officials have not yet said why the pedestrian was on S.R. 408. They did say though that the victim was rushed to the hospital after being hit, but died.
Police have found the vehicle involved, but are still searching for the driver.
