Sanford police search for missing mother and daughter possibly traveling on SunRail

Authorities in Seminole County are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing mother and her 5-year-old daughter, who were last seen Aug. 10 in Orlando.

What we know:

Police say Lenetria Dixon and her daughter — whose legal name is Denverrose Allen but is also known as Denver Dixon — were spotted in the area of North Lane and Westgrove Way. The two had recently been living in Sanford and have family in the area.

Due to mental health concerns, Dixon is considered endangered, according to Sanford police. Investigators believe Denverrose is with her mother, and new information indicates the pair may be traveling on SunRail trains between Orlando and Sanford.

Their clothing at the time was unknown, but police said Denverrose’s hair had been cut short. Anyone who sees them is urged to immediately contact the Sanford Police Department and report their location.
