Police searching for 14-year-old girl missing out of Haines City
HAINES CITY, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - 14-year-old Mercedes McLeod is missing out of Haines City, the city's police department said.
The Haines City Police Department posted on Facebook that Mercedes was last seen at about 7 p.m. on Monday leaving her grandmother's house in the Randa Ridge subdivision.
Mercedes was reported missing by her grandmother, who told police that Mercedes was planning to attend a party in Lakeland on Monday night but was not allowed to go. Officers said that they went to the location of the party, but she was not there.
The grandmother also reportedly police that Mercedes has run away on two prior occasions. She is not thought to be endangered at this time and she does not take any medication.
Mercedes is described by police as 5'2'' and about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing black and white shorts with a gray jacket.
