The first incident happened around 9 p.m. on Thursday in the parking lot of a Publix located at the Ormond Town Square shopping center.

Investigators say as a mom was returning her shopping cart and noticed a strange man talking to her daughter, who was sitting back at their car.    According to police, the strange man was touching himself inappropriately as he was asking the child for directions.  The mom freaked out, and the suspect took off.  Police say the mom followed the suspect in his black Acura and got his license plate number.

Detectives say minutes later, they received a frantic phone call from another mom who was in the parking lot of a Motel 6, one exit north, right off of  Interstate 95.

“A guy pulled up in a car, a mother was in her car charging her cell phone, and when she looked in rearview mirror, she saw a guy exit this other car with his pants around his ankles,” said Officer Keith Walker.

Investigators say the suspect is a white male with an olive complexion, 49-55 years old, between 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weights around 180 to 200 pounds.   He was last seen driving a black Acura TL.
