Police search for man responsible for 2017 fatal hit and run
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. (FOX 35 NEWS) - Police in New Smyrna Beach are searching for the man responsible for the death of a 21-year-old in 2017.
The New Smyrna Beach Police Department says that their homicide investigators were able to pin the DNA of Jeremy Patrick Wharton to the vehicle the caused the tragic death of 21-year-old Kaelee Morrell on October 29th, 2017.
So, on August 7th, 2018, the New Smyrna Beach police reportedly obtained a felony arrest warrant for 32-year-old Jeremy Patrick Wharton, who is now wanted on felony charges of Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving a Fatality and Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Serious Bodily Injury.
