Police: Man shot during armed robbery at I-Drive hotel

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Orlando police officers say a man shot after he had his cell phone taken at gunpoint outside a hotel off of International Drive.

The victim, identified as a white man in his 40s, was shot once in the lower torso outside of a Super 8 Hotel room. The suspect, described as a black man in his 30s, is said to have been wearing a black hoodie shirt, gray shorts and a camouflage-type hat.

The victim is in stable condition at a local hospital and the injuries are non life-threatening. There are no known witnesses or any leads at this time to identify a suspect. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
