Plywood boat competition draws hundreds at Key West

KEY WEST, Fla - Hundreds gathered for a unique boat challenge in Key West over the weekend. 

On Sunday a competition was held amongst boats made out of plywood. All the wacky characters attempted to navigate a short course faster than their opponent all while trying not to sink. 

A number of prizes were also given away for the fastest boat, most creative design, and the sinker award given to the least seaworthy vessel in the field.
