Pedestrian fatally struck by semi-truck on S.R. 528

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a semi-truck traveling on S.R. 528.

The Orange County Fire Rescue says that they responded to the scene of a serious crash on Monday morning, with injuries reported on S.R. 528. The westbound lanes of S.R 528 were shut down between Exit 37 and 31.

The Orange County Fire Rescue went on to say that the incident involved a semi-truck and a pedestrian. One trauma code patient was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. 

The Florida Highway Patrol later released information on the incident, stating that a semi-truck was traveling westbound when it struck a guardrail. The driver pulled over to the shoulder and while assessing the damage, another westbound semi-truck struck him as a pedestrian. He died at the hospital.
