A section of Interstate 4 eastbound is shutdown in downtown Orlando. The block is near the SR-408 interchange.

All eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 in downtown Orlando shut down early Monday due to a death investigation, according to the Orlando Police Department.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. near the South Street exit at mile marker 83.

At one point, traffic was backed up to Michigan Street, before officials began diverting traffic to the surface roads and the I-4 Express lanes.

All lanes of I-4 were reopened just before 9 a.m.

No other details were immediately available.
