Orlando Weather Forecast: February 10, 2025
FOX 35 Storm Team Meteorologist Noah Bergren provides the latest forecast for Central Florida.
What to expect:
ORLANDO, Fla. - Central Florida is set for a warm start to the week with mostly sunny skies and above-average temperatures, but changes are on the horizon as a cold front approaches, potentially impacting the Daytona 500 weekend.
Tonight:
Skies will remain mostly clear with lows dipping into the lower 60s by Tuesday morning. Fog is not expected to be a concern thanks to increasing winds.
Tuesday and Wednesday:
Expect mostly sunny conditions with highs reaching the mid-80s inland and the upper 70s along the beaches. There is a slight 10% chance of brief, isolated pop-up showers each afternoon.
Looking Ahead:
Temperatures will soar on Thursday, with highs between 88 and 90 degrees, challenging record highs for the date. Orlando's record for Feb. 13 stands at 89 degrees. A few isolated showers or thunderstorms may develop Thursday afternoon, but significant rainfall is not anticipated.
A cold front will sweep through overnight Thursday into Friday morning, bringing increased cloud cover and a noticeable drop in temperatures. Friday's high will reach only 79 degrees, accompanied by a few light showers.
Daytona 500 Forecast:
Saturday will bring a rebound in temperatures, climbing back into the mid-80s under partly cloudy skies and dry conditions. However, Sunday’s forecast remains uncertain due to the expected arrival of a strong cold front.
Forecasters are confident that the front will cross Florida on Sunday, but questions remain about its timing and associated rainfall. Current scenarios suggest a brief period of showers and possibly thunderstorms around midday, with rain lasting one to three hours at most. Despite the potential for precipitation, significant delays or postponements of the Daytona 500 appear unlikely due to the fast-moving nature of the front. A brief delay due to showers is possible but far from certain at this stage.
Following the front’s passage, much cooler weather is expected to settle in next week. Forecasters will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as the event approaches.
