ORLANDO, Fla. - Central Florida can expect scattered showers, downpours and thunderstorms through Tuesday night, with the most intense activity occurring before midnight.
Here's a look at what to expect from the weather tonight, as well as a look ahead to the rest of the week.
What will the weather look like tonight?
What To Expect:
Storms may bring heavy rainfall and frequent lightning, according to local meteorologists. Lows will hover around 73 degrees.
What will the weather look like on Wednesday?
What's next:
Wednesday will remain mostly cloudy with a high chance of rain. Afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are expected, with the possibility of one or two strong storms.
High temperatures will reach the upper 80s, slightly below seasonal averages. Rainfall is expected to be less widespread and intense than on Tuesday.

They aren't expected to gradually fade until well into the overnight. We will then be left with a few isolated showers and downpours before sunrise on Wednesday.
What will the weather look like for the rest of the week?
Looking Ahead:
Rain chances are expected to decline later in the week. By Thursday, limited afternoon showers and storms will persist as a weather boundary slowly moves south.
Drier air from the north should filter in over the weekend, reducing daily rainfall for most of Central Florida. While a few showers could reach the beaches, overall conditions are expected to be drier and brighter, with lower humidity.

Temperatures will be a little below average, with highs around the mid-to-upper-80s through the weekend. Saturday and Sunday look to be beautiful days, with only around a 30% chance of a few isolated downpours and storms.

In the tropics, the Atlantic basin remains quiet with no tropical activity expected over the next seven days. Meteorologists caution that hurricane season is far from over and conditions are likely to become more active later this month and into October.
