Orlando Weather PM Forecast: December 11, 2025

With a cold front moving through the area, temperatures will be cooler across Central Florida. FOX 35 Storm Team Meteorologist Laurel Blanchard breaks down when yo will need the winter coat and when you can wear the short sleeves again.

After the weak cold front pushes through today, cold air will rush into the region and settle into Central Florida through the overnight.

Temperatures will plunge into the 30s and 40s, with a low of 45 degrees in Orlando.

Frost Advisories

Because temperatures will be so chilly in the northern parts of the viewing area, frost advisories have been issued for Alachua County.

A Frost Advisory is when temperatures will be near but not at freezing, which could lead to some areas of patchy frost through overnight tonight.

Especially on a cold and clear night with calm winds like we will be seeing tonight. This is in effect until 8am Friday morning.

Friday's forecast

You will need the heavy jacket on Friday morning, but you may be able to shed it a few hours later in the afternoon.

As you head out the door tomorrow, temperatures will start off in the 40s and there may be a few areas of patchy frost early tomorrow morning near Gainesville.

Temperatures will warm up quickly with the sunshine working hard to bring out temperatures from the 40s in the morning to the low 70s by the afternoon.

After Friday's cold start, temperatures will climb back into the low 70s for afternoon highs with a slight breeze.

Warmer weather this weekend

Temperatures will rebound back to above average temperatures for the weekend ahead. Saturday will likely be the pick of the weekend with sunshine and temperatures in the mid 70s under a partly cloudy sky.

Another weak cold front will move in on Sunday, bringing in the chance of some spotty showers Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.

Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 70s on Sunday then drop into the low 70s by Monday afternoon.

A few showers will be possible early next week, but chances and totals don't look very impressive at this point. A 20% chance of rain is on the way for Sunday and Monday.
