A large group of law enforcement officers from multiple agencies and first responders converged at a Costco in Corona Friday night after reports of a shooting.

Officers responded to a shots fired call at the store, located at 480 N. McKinley St., at 7:45 p.m. Friday and anticipated an active shooter situation, according to Lt. Jeff Edwards of the Corona Police Department.

"They went inside and encountered four subjects down," Edwards said.

One man was shot and killed inside the store, according to Corona police. He has not yet been identified. Two others, including an off-duty police officer, were taken to the hospital with various degrees of injury.

The Corona Police Department tweeted, "the shooting incident in Corona has been stabilized. There is no apparent threat to our community from any outstanding persons."
