One dead, one injured after car crashes into tree, bursts into flames

APOPKA, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Apopka police are investigating an early morning car crash that killed one person and sent another to the hospital.

According to the Apopka Police Department, a car went off the road at Apopka Blvd. and Danisco Place around 3:10 a.m. Wednesday morning. The car reportedly crashed into a tree and burst into flames. 

One person in the car was killed. Another person was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center. No word on that person's condition.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
