NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - The New Smyrna Beach Police Department is investigating a male teacher at New Smyrna Beach High School after allegations that he had inappropriate contact online with an individual believed to be a minor, police say.
Police were contacted on August 7 regarding the online behavior of the employee and launched an investigation.
A video related to the allegations has since surfaced online, according to officials.
Officials said the employee involved has not been on campus at New Smyrna Beach High School since the start of the new school year.
