Mount Dora City Council could push back against confederate statue

MOUNT DORA, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - Mount Dora City Council could be joining growing push back against a confederate statue.

According to the Daily Commercial, the council is opposed to having the 9-foot statue at the Lake County historical museum in Tavares. If the council approves a resolution, they would join at least four other cities already in opposition. 

The vote is set to take place on Thursday night.
