Miami PD: K9 bitten during wild Miami police chase is OK
MIAMI (FOX 13) - A police chase through a Miami-area neighborhood came to a wild end Friday afternoon. Footage from WSVN showed the suspect nearly run over several officers after driving down a dead-end.
According to WSVN, the chase involved city of Miami police and Miami-Dade police as it wound from downtown Miami to a residential area of Northwest Miami-Dade County.
The red car turned into a dead-end alley and rammed into a dumpster in an apparent attempt to smash through a wall, but was not successful. Officers, with guns drawn, quickly caught up and the man appeared to surrender as K-9s surrounded him, but he got back in the car and revved the vehicle in reverse as officers frantically dragged themselves and their K-9s out of the way.

The car did not get far, slamming into a cruiser a few feet away as police and K-9s re-converged around the vehicle.
The man was pulled from the car and dragged to the ground before being hauled off to jail.
During the man's apprehension, two K9 officers were released into the mans car. During the struggle, it appeared one of the K9s bit the other on its back leg.
The City of Miami Police Department said on its Facebook page Saturday, the K9, named Buster, was doing well after suffering minor injuries.
