Man facing murder charges in death of Cocoa mother of four
COCOA, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Tashaun Jackson’s family tells Fox 35 reporter Amanda McKenzie that they know the murder suspect Joshua Taylor.
According to a prior arrest affidavit, Taylor was charged with a burglary and assault last year.

They family said they are happy he is behind bars.
“There has been an arrest,” said the victim’s cousin Sh’Mika Scott Devoe in a Facebook Live video. "Justice is on the way. There has been an arrest.”
Jackson’s cousin shares the news with friends and family shortly after the murder suspect, Joshua Taylor, was taken into jail.
He is charged with killing the 31-year-old Cocoa mother of four children.
“I thank y’all so much for everything for everything y’all have done,” Devoe said. “Everything y’all have said. Everything y’all have poured into us. We thank y’all.”
Jackson was last seen on Saturday, February 9th at a 7-Eleven.
Cocoa police said a surveillance photo is the last record of her before she disappeared.
Volunteers searched through woods and thick brush.
Her body was found in Osceola County one week after she was last seen.
Her family said Jackson was recently a victim in an open burglary and sexual assault case.
Yvonne Martinez of the Cocoa Beach Police Department confirmed to Fox 35's Amanda McKenzie that Taylor was charged last year with breaking into Jackson’s home and assaulting her. They said she gave a deposition just three days before she disappeared.
