Man arrested after supplying man with drugs that led to his overdose
WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Winter Springs Police Department says that on January 3rd, Christopher Jonathan Toro was arrested and charged with Homicide Resulting from the Distribution of a Controlled Substance.
On September 23rd, police say they responded to an overdose. During their three-month investigation of it, they discovered that Mr. Toro was the individual who provided the victim, Alfonso Pagan, with heroin laced with fentanyl that ultimately resulted in the overdose death of Pagan a day earlier.
Police say that a medical examiner confirmed on November 30th that Pagan's cause of death was from a combined drug toxicity and that the proximate cause of death was from fentanyl and heroin.
