Las Vegas shooting witnesses arrive into Orlando International Airport

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Several people arrived in from Vegas with some frightening stories to tell of the shooting.

Nickolas Rock and Brian Clouse say they were on their way to Mandalay Bay when a friend told them to get off the bus and run the other way.  He says that friend was actually at the concert hiding under the bleachers.

He says at one point, police even told them to run and take cover, so they did.

Nicholas says, “It was scary, very scary, I didn’t know what was going on.”

Brian says, “I’m just thinking, what are our options. Where are places to go? Do I need to jump and hide? Where can we hide, where can we go? Which became limited, as casinos closed their doors and locked people out or in, depending on if you had a key.”

Nicholas says they didn’t have a way to contact their friend, “At that point my friend who was at the concert her phone had died, so had no way of knowing where she was if she made it back to the hotel. We had friends in the Paris Casino where they thought there was gun shots, they were in the luggage closet and we weren’t able to get in contact with them for a couple hours. It was a sit and wait game.” 

Of course the only shooting that took place was at Mandalay Bay.

Nicholas says his friend who was at the concert got out okay, but will probably need counseling
