Investigation launched into motel shooting

ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 WOFL) - The Orlando Police Department reports that a man was shot at the Red Carpet Inn on Colonial Drive. 

Police says that about 10:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to Health Central Hospital on Colonial Drive in Ocoee. They met with a victim of a shooting that occurred at the Red Carpet Inn on Colonial Drive. 

They say that the victim is an adult black male who sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. The victim stated he was in a rented room at the Red Carpet Inn and was shot by an unknown person during a robbery attempted. The room was located and blood was found in his room. No one else was located.
