Florida woman arrested in connection to husband's homicide, deputies say

WETUMPKA, AL. - A Florida woman has been arrested in Alabama in connection to her husband's death, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.
What we know:
Allen Phillips was found dead at his home on Friday, Jan. 24, following a welfare check, authorities said.
Deputies said a family member expressed concerns for his safety after not hearing from him in several days, noting that his wife, Tequila Phillips, had been "evasive" about his location.
At the home, they discovered Allen dead from a gunshot wound to the chest and "in the later stages of decomposition," deputies said in a news release.
Investigators collected evidence from the scene, including a gun and shell casing.
Who is Tequila Phillips?
Tequila Philips was named as the suspect in her husband's death following an investigation.
She was taken into custody by the Wetumpka Police Department in Alabama, where she awaits extradition back to Santa Rosa County, Florida.
