Florida man accused of threatening woman with chainsaw

The Alachua County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Florida man who they said shouted at a woman and threatened her with a running chainsaw.

The sheriff's office said the incident occurred on Monday in Gainesville.

According to an arrest report, Dustin Waters, 36, approached the woman who was with some friends at a home. Waters reportedly began to argue with the woman and that's when she locked herself in her friend's car. The sheriff's office says Waters slammed the hood of the vehicle, cranked the chainsaw, and ran the chainsaw along the bumper and passenger side window of the vehicle.

The woman was not injured.

Waters is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, property damage and resisting an officer.
