Firefighters fight two brush fires in DeLand
DELAND, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Wind conditions in Volusia County turned one small brush fire in DeLand into two on Sunday.
Both fires burned west of Downtown DeLand, near the intersection of west New York Avenue and north Shell Road.
It started at around noon with four acres burning.
Volusia County firefighters got the first fire pretty much contained with help from the State Forest Service.
But by around mid-afternoon, officials say the wind picked up.
