Firefighters battle brush fire near Geneva
GENEVA, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Firefighters are battling a brush fire along the Volusia-Seminole county line.
The over 4-acre fire is just est of Geneva, close to an area known as Lake Harney Woods. The Florida Forest Service says the quick-moving fire is not posing any immediate risk to homes, but they continue to monitor the blaze because of strong wind in the are.
In addition to the Florida Forest Service, several agencies are responding to fight the fire, including the Mims Fire Department and Seminole County Fire and Rescue.
