'Find forever home' checked off on rescue dog's bucket list
It may have taken months, but a Bay area rescue dog known for her bucket list can finally cross off the most important goal of all: finding a forever home.
Angel, a healthy, 12-year-old mixed-breed dog, had been at the Suncoast Animal League since March.
Volunteers there worried when she wasn’t being adopted, so they created a bucket list of fun activities they wanted her to experience, even though she didn’t have a family.
Word got out about her list, and locals from all over the Tampa Bay area reached out to help her check things off.
She walked on the beach, rode in a convertible, had a professional photo shoot, and even got to be on TV (right here on Good Day Tampa Bay!).
Angel also had a spa day, watched the sunset and went on a boat ride, too. Of the 50 things on the list, very few are left, and now, that includes the last and most important one: finding a forever home.
According to the “Angel’s Bucket List” Facebook page, Angel was officially adopted on Tuesday, September 8th.
The Suncoast Animal League and her new owners, Shelly and Tim, hosted a party for her to celebrate.
During the event, Angel enjoyed a grouper sandwich (another one off the list!), posed for pictures and then said goodbye to her forever friends at the Suncoast Animal League, before she headed off to her forever home.
